Kenya has recorded 650 more Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 28754.

During the daily Covid-19 briefing at Afya House on Thursday, August 13, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced that 6,768 samples were tested in the same period of time.

Of the 650 cases tested, 391 are male and 259 are female while the youngest case is a 1-year-old and the oldest is aged 97.

At the same time, 490 patients have been discharged from hospital bringing the total number of recovered cases to 15,100. 308 are from the home-based program while 182 are from various hospitals

Regrettably, 4 patients have succumbed to the disease bring the total number of fatalities to 460.
